Dear LVUSD Families,

 

On behalf of THE Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools, we would like to thank every parent, business leader, and community member who supported THE Foundation during the 2022-2023 academic year. We experienced the largest attendance ever at THE Carnival, rocked out to THE Battle of the Bands and celebrated our district at THE Event.

 

While it’s vital to support our individual schools directly, they are not allowed to directly fund many important expenses such as teachers and counselors. This is why in 2010, a group of parents from across the district created T.H.E. Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools: Together Helping Education, to unite businesses, community members, and district families to give our children the learning and support opportunities they deserve.

 

With your support of annual appeal, THE Carnival, THE Battle of the Bands, and THE Event, THE Foundation will contribute over $100,000 to the Las Virgenes School District in support of its efforts to support the mental health of our students and faculty, reduce class sizes, and sustain vital programs across the district.

 

This year, we again call on our community for your support.  While a gift of even $50 will help, we encourage you to invest in your children’s education by donating $500 to become a member of our VIP Club or $1,000 to join our Honor Roll.  These groups enjoy district-wide recognition as well as many benefits from special access to events to exclusive opportunities and experiences. Families who donate $500 during our appeal are eligible for a code redeem for a free ride wristband to THE Carnival. 

 

Our goal is 100% LVUSD-family participation.  If the approximately 8,000 families with children in our district contributed $500 to this appeal, we could raise $4,000,000!  Your support will fundamentally change your children’s education for today and tomorrow!
